Electric vehicle (EV) chargers are important infrastructure to ensure the normal operation of electric vehicles. Proper use and daily maintenance can not only improve charging efficiency, but also extend the life of the equipment and ensure charging safety.
1. Overview of use
1. Preparation before charging
Check the equipment: make sure that the charger shell, interface, display screen and other parts are not damaged or abnormal.
Environmental safety: ensure that the charging environment is dry and well ventilated, and avoid charging in exposed conditions such as high temperature or rain and snow.
Connection specification: make sure that the plug is clean and free of foreign objects before inserting the charging gun, and avoid strong pulling and hard insertion.
2. Charging operation
Swipe the card/scan the code to enable: public charging piles usually require user authentication before starting.
Correctly insert the gun: insert the charging gun firmly into the car-end interface, and a "click" sound indicates that the lock is successful.
Monitoring process: observe the charging pile display or App interface to understand the charging status, voltage, current and other information.
Charging completed: be sure to end the charging operation before pulling out the gun, and then unlock the charging gun to prevent arc damage.
2. Daily maintenance points
1. Appearance inspection and cleaning
Check the shell, display screen, and connecting cable once a week for damage or aging;
Wipe the charging gun and touch area with a dry cloth, and avoid wet cloth or corrosive detergents.
2. Electrical safety inspection
Professional personnel shall check the grounding system, leakage protection module, cable interface, etc. every quarter;
Regularly test whether the output voltage and current are within a reasonable range.
3. Software upgrade and remote monitoring
Keep the device software up to the latest version to obtain higher security and functional support;
Use the remote background system for data monitoring and abnormal alarm.
4. Protection and maintenance
It is recommended to install a rain cover for outdoor charging piles;
Avoid charging in thunderstorm weather to prevent circuit damage caused by lightning strikes.
